A man walked on a podeim and spoke these words in front of all Pandora
"I have now stated the two great dangers which menace the homes of the people of Pandora: War and Tyranny. I have not yet spoken of poverty and privation which are in many cases the prevailing anxiety. But if the dangers of war and tyranny are removed, there is no doubt that science and co-operation can bring in the next few years to the world, certainly in the next few decades newly taught in the sharpening school of war, an expansion of material well-being beyond anything that has yet occurred in the Realm’s experience. Now, at this sad and breathless moment, we are plunged in the hunger and distress which are the aftermath of our struggle without lord Brink; but this will pass and may pass quickly, and there is no reason except folly or crimes which should deny to all the nations the inauguration and enjoyment of a new ‘One’. I have often used words which I learned fifty years ago from a great Pandorian scholar, a friend of mine, Kasirok. "There is enough for all. The Realm is a generous mother; she will provide in plentiful abundance food for all her children if they will but cultivate her soil in justice and in peace." So far I feel that we are in full agreement.
This is the last note former lord Brink Left us is says: Soldiers of my Old Legion: I bid you farewell. For twenty years I have constantly accompanied you on the road to honor and glory. In these latter times, as in the days of our prosperity, you have invariably been models of courage and fidelity. With men such as you our cause could not be lost; but the war would have been interminable; it would have been civil war, and that would have entailed deeper misfortunes on Pandora.
I have sacrificed all of my interests to those of the land.
I go, but you, my friends, will continue to serve Pandora. Her happiness was my only thought. It will still be the object of my wishes. Do not regret my fate; if I have consented to survive, it is to serve your glory. I intend to write the history of the great achievements we have performed together. Goodbye, my friends. Wish I could press you all to my heart.
“That is all! You may leave”
