| In the hierarchy was mentioned a Grand Priest/Priestess, High Priestess, and Clergy. Those ranks will be explained here.
Grand Priest/Priestess: This rank is the highest of the Clan Hierarchy. There can only ever be four of these at one time, one for each clan. They hold power over their whole clan. While this may seem incredibly tempting, one must also remember it is a great responsibility, for the lives of all their clan members rests in their hands. The Kineara believe in their own Gods (See Gods topic) and it is the Duty of the Grand Priest/Priestess and the High Priest/Priestess to be the voice of their Gods.

Lord/Lady Priest/Priestess: While those who hold this rank only answer to the GP, they hold very little power. There is only ever four of these at one time, one for each clan. They are often chosen by the GP from among the current HPs, however have been known to be chosen from among the military, and on rare occasion, from among the normal Clergy or even regular citizens. They are in training to inherit the GP position, when that time comes. It has been known for the GP to outlive their LP and then a new one must be chosen, but this is also rare.
High Priest/Priestess: Although this rank is below the rank of chieftain, the High Priest/Priestess only answers to the Grand Priest/Priestess. They cannot however order the Chieftain, and cannot be ordered by the Chieftain. They are the advisors and the helpers of the Grand Priest/Priestess. There may be many, or few of those in this rank in each clan, depending on how many the current Grand Priest/Priestess feels they need.
Clergy: The Clergy are those who devote themselves to the Gods, who are not soldiers, but also are not regular clan members. While they cannot give an order to those below their rank, it is their duty to ensure all people below them are aware of any orders given by those of higher rank than them. The Clergy do not have to answer to the Chieftain, or his/her advisers.
