The Outlying Areas

Beyond the Town is varied land. There are the mighty forests, which are tended well by the villagers charged with their care taking. The rugged rocky slopes, which were not fit for very much beyond training. There were the streams that flowed down the mountain to meet up with the Ton River, flowing with fish from down stream. And there was the land that had flattened out, and area big enough, and fertile enough to go crops on. Those of the people who chose it were the workers of that land, and they supplied the crops of the Clan. A portion of that fertile land was set aside for grazing, should any of the grazing Kin get the urge to.. well.. graze.

Shadra walked, dodging the trees happily. Occasionally stopping to see if he was lost before moving on. Until, he finally found it. The Sun was streaming through the Leaves in the sky, Making patterns on the open area. There was a small Pond to one side, Over packed with life. Ducks, Birds, Fish. The lot. All flailing around in the water. Shadra jumped into the air, Sitting on a tree trunk, which he slowly began to walk across, Towards the tree. On the side of the tree was a small hollow entrance. In which he entered, Climbing the ladder downwards, that was hidden within it.

Ruslana stopped for a moment and looked around. She did not know of this area. It had been so long since she had had any time to simply explore. She saw where Shadra went and was quick to follow, curiosity taking hold as she smiles and makes her was slowly down the ladder as well.

Down the ladder opened up to a Large Wooden Room. It had cupboards, Food, Papers pinned to the walls everywhere. It was just, so, natural. Much more so then the houses in the village anyway. Noticing The arrival of Lana he spoke. When i came here, it felt so...right. Then i began to search through these papers. And it had dot points, about...my life. It would appear as though this is my secret house. He smiled. Before adding Two new pinned Sticky notes to the wall. About the conversation he just had with her.

She smiles and looks around. "It does seem to fit you, Shadra." she laughed as she read some of the notes and shook her head smiling. "To be able to forget everything about your life..." she closes her eyes smiling softly. For a moment it seemed she had forgotten he was there, and that she was here. For a moment she was a little girl, standing alone at the gate to the temple.

He saw her dreaming, and decided not to disturb her. Rather he went to a desk, which had a tally on it. With a flick of his wrist, his knife whipped out, adding a new line to the tally. Making the number now 158.

She snaps out of her daze and looks around. "Ah, sorry." She smiles softly and looks over at what he was doing. "I take it that is how many times you've forgotten yourself?" she asks, walking up beside him, looking at the tally marks.

he looked at it. i suppose so. What about you. What were you dazing about? He took a seat on the Lounge. Waiting for an answer.

She sits as well. "My first memory. I was still a little girl.. likely the age of 5 in human years. I cannot remember anything before that... I always wonder.. what happened? I can't help but want to know. Perhaps the memories before that one hold the key to what happened to my parents.." her voice was soft, and thoughtful.

He suddenly lost his joy. his necklace began to flicker to a Dark Blue before it Stopped, returning to a Light red. He smiled once more as he walked into a room, coming back out with what seemed like a bio on Lana. It would appear as though i have one of these for everyone i have met. He began to read over the bio, before placing it on the Table. Motioning for her to follow him. Shadra began to walk down a tunnel. Which opened up into an open cave on the Side of a mountain. He turned to smile at her again. Before Leaping off the edge. Sailing into the Trees below.

She followed him, a mix of curiosity and fear driving her. As he sailed off she closed her eyes and was enveloped by a bright white light. As if faded a brilliant phoenix dived into the trees, keeping it's keen eyes on Shadra as he moved, following him closely. It's large majestic wings seemed to only flap once every 10 seconds as it's many tail feathers swished, guiding it in it's flight.

He never changed, He rather just continued to fall. Until he was literally about 5 meters from the ground. Though it wasn't a full transformation, This was something unique to Shadra. It seems some good came from all those experiments. They started messing with him. Now he can transform certain parts. Half Formation they called it. But this time, only the two red, majestic wings sprouted from his back. They were very large, made for a body much greater then his. It ripped through his shirt, leaving him top less. And with one Great Flap of his wings, He came to a stop. Perfectly in time to lightly touch the ground for about a second, before he took off into the air. Soaring up to Lana's height before The rest of his body Began to Turn. Becoming a full Dragon. he was very large. About 4 times the size of the average dragon. He looked at Lana. Before he ascended, Flying into the clouds.

Lana followed him. Though she was much smaller than him in size, she seemed perfectly capable of keeping up with him, with little effort. The wind seemed to aid her flight. She following him, zipping through the air, dashing through the clouds, looking almost like a ray of sunlight that was playing peek-a-boo.

His scales began to glow. Glittering into a light red. It would seem his scales acted as his necklace would. With his mind he reached out, attempting to communicate. And how long has it been since you last had a fly around....just for the joy of it. After his scales stopped their glittering, the clouds kept him hidden, as he snuck around. Appearing behind her. He sped up in his flying, in an attempt to catch her.

She does a loop, temporarily dissappearing in the cloud above. When she is seen again she is now below him, her wings flapping silently, seeming to be flying upside down for a moment as she looks up at him. It has been a very long time since I have done this. There was a hint of laughter in the thought, pure and wonderful laughter.

He was flying Smoothly, when he began to once again, ascend into the heavens. Going to high that his body began to freeze up and his Breath was cutting short. Then, He stopped. Flying to the earth. He curled up, slicing through the air like a blade, Pummelling to the earth like a meteor.

Lana dived down, wrapping her wings around her body and twirling. In this way, she truly did appear to be a ray of sunlight as she pierced through the clouds. As she approached the ground she suddenly leveled out as her wings spread wide, catching the air and lifting her back up slightly as she did another loop.

His wings opened up when he was just above the river, Flying parallel with it. Tilting to the side his wings began to slice through the water. Until he came to the Great Kineara waterfall. As he just got over the edge, he whipped his body back into human form. Free falling towards the deep water below.

Lana flew over the waterfall then dived down it, falling beside Shadra until just above the water when she spreads her wings and her tails feathers skim across the surface. She circles around and makes a smooth landing on the bank of the river, her keen eyes watching for Shadra as her elegant neck was curved slightly, giving her head a slight tilt.

Shadra hit the water. The impact would have been enough to kill a human, but at the last second, his skin turned to the iron hard scales. Creating a Giant Splash. A Good Minute later His head popped out. His tail formed, and he used it as a fin, Diving down, and launching himself back up into the air. About 15 meters out of the water. Damn it was a strong tail. Right as he hit the peak. His wings re-sprouted. i feel as though this is the first time i've ever done this. But its just too natural. So this wouldn't be new. What about you?

She had her wings outstretched and there seemed to be feathers covering her eyes. She was soaking wet. I have not frolicked like this since before I began my training to become the Grand Priestess. Every time I fly it is like the first time, but it is always natural. She shook herself out, her feathers poofed out now.

I don't even know how to fly technically. I was learn as i went. I have a learning chip thingy in my brain or something. And i can learn things from the past when i think of something similar or something like that. I was reading about it on a sticky note. He laughed. It sounded so stupid. That everything he learnt was on a memory unit in his brain. yet he couldn't to remember yesterday. He smiled to Lana. Whats next Grand Priestess?

She changed back into her human form and removed her crown and the whispy dress she wore, wearing a white slip beneath. The slip was made of a different material than the dress, and was unaffected by the water. She then dove gracefully into the water. She she surfaced she pulled her hair back behind her and smiled. Without her crown and fancy dress, she seemed more like an ordinary woman. "You tell me, Chieftain."

(in case you don't know, a slip is something you wear under a dress that may be see through. Basically a dress under a dress, but usually extremely plain, and non-see through

So. Mrs Godess, how many Human years have you lived now? He was curious, He was sure the bio said....but....she looked so young and beautiful. Actually, now that he mentions it. How old was he?

She smoothed her hair and smiled softly. "I have lived nearly 307 years by human standard. However, by Kineara standard, I am only 20." She closes her her and tilts her head back, enjoying the cool touch of the water and the warm touch of the sunlight.
