Beast are special lifelong partners given to the character that are able to tame them there are 4 kind of beast.
Sharks=Water
Birds=Wind
Dragons=Fire
Monkeys=Earth
Each beast set gives there own boost of powers and are worth the trouble of getting. The beast may turn you down if you try and tame it but it may not once you accomplish taming the beast. They are synced with your soul, if the beast dies so does your character.
Special beast are the strongest in the realm, there are seven in total each giving there own set of powers. They usually control the realms of which basic beast are claimed and that is where they are until called by the current wielder. Special beast are claimed through missions most of the time or they randomly choose the person.
Anyone can have a beast!
